Frequently Asked Questions
What activities does the admission include?
General admission includes access to the natural cenote system for open swimming, as well as the use of life jackets and inflatable donut-style floats. It also covers a walking tour along jungle trails, the *Paseo de las Catrinas* (Catrinas Walk), the *alebrije* exhibition, and access to the shopping area, featuring a guided tasting of tequila and Mexican chocolate. And, of course, it includes our traditional *Pibil* dish—served with handmade tortillas—accompanied by natural fruit-infused waters.
What are the business hours?
The park is open from Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We recommend arriving early so you can enjoy all the experiences at a leisurely pace. The dining area, featuring traditional wood-fired cuisine, operates from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
Can I change or cancel a reservation?
Yes, we understand that travel plans can change due to weather or maritime transport issues. You can modify dates or cancel by contacting our customer service team directly via WhatsApp at +52 987 873 8736 or by emailing reservas@trippingcool.com at least 24 hours in advance.
Does Kanan Park have transportation?
The park does not have its own dedicated mass public transport route, but shared or private transfer services can be arranged through authorized Tripping Cool agencies when booking your excursion package. Alternatively, island taxis can easily provide round-trip transportation.
How can I get there from downtown Cozumel?
The fastest way is to take a taxi from the town center or drive a rental car or motorcycle directly along the Transversal Highway heading east. The park is located on the right side of the road at Kilometer 12, just 15 minutes from the ferry terminal.
Is there parking?
Yes, we have a free parking area exclusively for all our visitors within the park premises, with secure space for cars, SUVs, and rental motorcycles.
Are the experiences suitable for children?
Absolutely! Kanan Park is a 100% family-friendly environment. The cenote area features safe access platforms, we provide special life jackets for children, and the cultural trails—featuring *catrinas* and *alebrijes*—are vibrant and engaging for them. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Do I need to know how to swim?
You do need to know how to swim. Wearing a life jacket is strictly mandatory for all visitors entering the cenote's crystal-clear waters, regardless of age or experience level. Additionally, we provide donut-style floats—included with your visit—to ensure a completely relaxed and safe floating experience.
What does the difficulty level of the attractions mean?
This refers to the physical effort required to complete the activity. At the cenote, the difficulty level is Easy, thanks to controlled access points and flotation equipment. On the jungle trails, the difficulty ranges from Easy to Moderate; although the path is flat, the terrain is rugged and natural (featuring roots and stones), requiring careful walking and appropriate footwear.
